ECLIPSE: LIVE AT THE BLUE PLANET '99 NOW AVAILABLE!

Hi there, I'm Norm MacDonald*.

I likes these guys in Yella Number Five.

They asked me to host their "news" page.

I said "what the hay," you know?

"I'll do these young fellas a favor."

Of course, they're paying me out the ass for this.

But, that's the way things work.

* Obviously, this isn't really Norm. It's just a graphically edited picture Mike made. Unfortunatly, we've never even met the great Norm. Oh, well. We hope Norm doesn't get mad at us for using his likeness. For that matter, we hope NBC doesn't either. Or ABC, for that matter... We mean no disrespect or copyright infringement. But enough about this crap, let's get on with it...

And Now, The News...

OUR TOP STORIES:

THE TOOLCITY UNDERGROUND FESTIVAL Our recent performance headlining the ToolCity Underground Release Festival at the Academy Theatre in Meadville on August 21, 1999 was perhaps our most well-received and enjoyable show ever! The show nearly didn't happen, because Jason was delayed at work and didn't show up until 10:45. Lucky for us, the festival was running over time and our 9:30 headlining slot got bumped back to 11:00. As you can see, if the show was running on time, we would have been screwed! The ToolCity Underground II compilation of area bands was released at the show on the 21st. To get your copy, track down the bands in person, hit our Discography page, or e-mail yellow5@toolcity.net. NEW WEBSITE STUFF A new section, Video Clips, has been added under Photos. One of the first clips is a bit of "Steve's Reflective Sweatshirt," from the show at the Academy on the 21st. There are four new clips from three shows. Eventually, I'll start adding more video clips from throughout our career. THINGS IN THE WORKS In fact, how about I do something even better... In addition to the clips on the website, I'm going to make a video compilation of the best, worst, and just plain weirdest stuff we've done. How about 120 minutes? 3 hours? 6 hours? Well, let's see what I can dig from the vaults... I'll post a note here when it's ready to go. Anybody with video of our shows is asked to please e-mail yellow5@toolcity.net and I'll gladly reward you if you have any we need. Especially early stuff! BLUE PLANET CD A recording of the April Blue Planet show is available at this time. The title is "Eclipse." The show was recorded on digital minidisc, and is excellent quality. The disc is 76 minutes long, and that was after I chopped out most of the between song dialogue, so it's packed full of music. If you want a copy, for the measly sum of $10, send us e-mail at yellow5@toolcity.net and we'll make sure you get one.
